Mrs. CUMMINGS Rites Tuesday

Last rites wil be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. for Mrs. Clarence E. CUMMINGS, 76, long-time resident of the Fairfield community.

The rites tomorrow will be held at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Lee Davis officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. CUMMINGS passed away about 8:15 p.m. Saturday at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient since Oct. 20. She had been in failing health the past six months.

Mrs. Ethel CUMMINGS was born March 24, 1886, in Knoxville, Tenn., the daughter of Andrew and Martha Jane TUCKER ELMORE. She was reared and educated in the Perlee community.

On Sept. 11, 1929, she was united in marriage to Clarence E. CUMMINGS at Mt. Pleasant. She had lived in Jefferson county nearly all of her life and in Fairfield for the past 42 years. She was a member of the Christian church, the Rebecca lodge, and WRC. Her husband preceded her in death on March 22, 1940.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Rilla LUCAS, Williamsport, Ind.; two brothers, Edgar C. ELMORE, Adams Center, New York, and Glen ELMORE, Route 3, Fairfield; also four nephews and three nieces.

Mrs. CUMMINGS was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL IN DISTRICT COURT

State of Iowa
Jefferson County, ss.

To All Whom It May Concern:

You Are Hereby Notified, That as (sic) instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Ethel A. CUMMINGS, deceased, dated January 19, 1961 having been this day filed, opened and read, Thursday, the 13th day of December, 1962, is fixed for hearing proof of same at the Court House in Fairfield, Iowa, before the District Court of said County, or the Clerk of said Court; and at 9:30 o'clock a.m. of the day above mentioned all persons interested are hereby notified and required to appear, and show cause if any they have, why said instrument should not be probated and allowed as and for the last will and Testament of said deceased.
