Elizabeth Marie PUMROY, 88 of Ottumwa, died at 2:10 a.m. November 27, 2018 at Vista Woods Care Center.

She was born October 26, 1930 in Donnelly, MN to Mac and Florence GLOTFELTY DAVIS. She married James D. PUMROY on November 28, 1952.

A graduate of Washington High School and Parsons College, Marie taught school in West Chester, IA. She was co-owner of Jay Funeral Home from 1964-1984 and operated the Airport Café frorm 1985-1995.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a member and past president of P.E.O. Chapter HC and held her pilot's license.

Surviving is her husband, Jim; a daughter, Jill PUMROY-BUCKLEY and a son, Douglas PUMROY, both of Ottumwa; a sister-in-law, Jean DAVIS of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George DAVIS.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Jane Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. Thursday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Music Department or Heartland Humane Society.
