Karen TEDROW age 75 of Libertyville, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Jefferson County Fairgrounds Cambridge Building.

Karen was born January 27, 1943, to Richard Leo and Alice Marjorie (PATTAN) HAAS in Donnellson, Iowa. Richard and Alice moved to a farm southeast of Fairfield in late January of 1945. Karen married Ronald Rex TEDROW at the Free Methodist Church in Fairfield, Iowa September 2, 1962.

Karen had a different occupation beginning as a Car Hop. After attending secretarial course, she went to work for Dr Dwight Haas managing his office in 1983 for 5 years and then managed his office in Memphis, MO. As a telemarketer. Then accepted the position of head cook for the Senior Center in Fairfield in 1989. Comprising the menus and serving 120 people at lunch and less for the evening meal. An auto accident which injured her neck and back causing her to resign in 1994. Prior to working she was a Girl Scout Leader than accepted the Unit Service Director for Fairfield overseeing 49 leaders under her.

Rex and Karen bought their farm in 1965. In 2014 they sold the farm to their youngest son.

She is survived by her husband, Rex; 5 children, Timothy "Tim" (Mary) TEDROW, Alice "Jolene" TEDROW (Mark Steele), Faye "Marie" TEDROW (Jake Saner), James "Jim" (Amanda) TEDROW, and Grace "Korkee" (Mike) HAMILTON; 28 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dwight HAAS.
