Esther V. TURNER

BURLINGTON -- Ester V. TURNER, 92, of Burlington, died at 10:35 a.m. Sunday, April 11, 1993, at her home.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery (note: in Burlington, Des Moines Co., IA). Visitation will be open starting at 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel with the family present from 7 to 8:30 that night. A memorial has been established.

Mrs. TURNER was born July 1, 1900, in Lockridge, the daughter of Nicholas and Amanda PIERSON (sic - PEARSON) JOHNSON. She married Earl B. TURNER on Dec. 20, 1920, in Ottumwa. He died Dec. 22, 1977. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are four sons, Cecil of Milwaukee, Verle of Fairax, Va., Warren of Shelton, Wash., Eugene of Burlington; two daughters, Cheryl MURGUIA of Dubuque, Twyla SCHWARTZ of Burlington; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
