Clara A. JOHNSON

FAIRFIELD -- Clara Amanda JOHNSON, 60, died at her home north of Lockridge at 2:40 p.m. Aug. 21. Death terminated a long illness.

A life resident of the Lockridge vicinity, Miss JOHNSON was the daughter of Nicholas and Amanda PEARSON JOHNSON, and was born on Nov. 29, 1893.

Miss JOHNSON was a member of New Sweden Lutheran church. She is survived by two brothers and three sisters: Frank and George JOHNSON and Mrs. Emma VORHIES, all of Lockridge; Mrs. Ellen BOOS, Ottumwa, and Mrs. Esther TURNER, of Lockridge.

Last rites will be held at the Hoskins funeral home, in Fairfield, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. S. P. Williamson, pastor of First Christian church of Fairfield, will officiate, and burial will be in New Sweden cemetery.
