Ralph PEIFFER Dies Suddenly At Farm Home

BRIGHTON, Ia. -- Ralph J. PEIFFER, 54, Brighton farmer, died suddenly Saturday at 12:30 p.m. following a heart attack. He was stricken at his farm home south of Brighton near the Jefferson - Washington county line.

Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph church at East Pleasant Plain in charge of the Rev. Henry B. Geers. Burial will be in the St. Joseph cemetery. The Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o'clock in the Gould Funeral home in Brighton.

PEIFFER was born March 31, 1910 near Brighton, the son of Gust and Magdalema (sic) FRITZ PEIFFER. He was married April 28, 1937 to Helen GRINER (sic - GREINER). He was a member of St. Joseph church.

Surviving are his wife and the following children: Mrs. Dean EDWARDS, Brighton; Donald, Elaine and Glenn, at home. Also surviving are two grandchildren; one brother, Ernest PEIFFER, Fairfield; and one sister, Mrs. Sylvester SOBASKI, Brighton. His parents preceded him in death.
