Vincent PEIFFER Dies Suddenly

Vincent M. PEIFFER, 69, died suddenly about 4:30 a.m. this morning at his home, 500 W. Broadway. He suffered a heart attack.

Services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic church with the Rev. O. F. DeCoursey and the Rev. Francis Henricksen in charge. Burial will be in the St. Joseph cemetery at East Pleasant Plain. The Rosary will be recited at the Raymond funeral home Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Vincent M. PEIFFER was born June 7, 1889, in the Clear Creek community, the son of the late Michael and Margaret WEHR PEIFFER. He was reared and educated in the Clear Creek community.

He was married on April 21, 1914, to Gertrude KASOWSKY, at East Pleasant Plain. They lived in the Brighton community most of their married life, moving to Fairfield two years ago.

PEIFFER was a member of the local Elks lodge, St. Mary Catholic church. He was a retired farmer.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Richard, Ithaca, N.Y. and one daughter, Mrs. Edith FINK, Packwood; also four granddaughters. He is also survived by two brothers, Gus of Fairfield, and Peter, Sigourney; and three sisters, Mrs. Susie KLETT, Keota; Mrs. Mary SONDAG, Harper; and Mrs. Theresa FRITZ, Mason City.
