Joseph PACHA, 89 dies this morning

Joseph A. PACHA, 89, of 926 South Iowa Avenue died this morning, Oct. 10, 1966, at the Washington County Hospital, following an illness of six days.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. James Catholic church with Rev. T. J. Lew in charge. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Sherman-Eden Funeral Home. Burial will be in East Pleasant Plain Cemetery (sic - St. Joseph Cemetery at East Pleasant Plain).

Mr. PACHA was born in Pleasant Plain July 22, 1877, a son of Jacob and Barbara PACHA. He was reared there and married Sept. 19, 1916 in Iowa City to Mary C. (sic - Mary J.) CROWLEY. They lived on the same farm near Pleasant Plain from 1916 to 1951 when they moved to Washington. She died Jan. 2, 1966.

He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

Surviving are four sisters: Mrs. Frank (Elizabeth) BENDA; Mrs. James (Christine) ANDERLIK, both of Iowa City; Catherine PACHA and Bertha PACHA, both of Pleasant Plain.
