Last rites For Anthony Drish Held Today and Thursday

Funeral rites for Anthony L. DRISH, 37, whose body was found near the railroad tracks in Farmington, Ill. late Sunday night, will be held at the home of his father Joseph L. DRISH of Brighton at 9:00 o'clock Thursday morning and a Rosary Service at 8:30 this evening. Father Wetzstein, pastor of St. Joseph Church in Pleasant Plain will have charge of the services.

Burial will take place in the family lot in St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain.

Anthony DRISH, son of Joseph L. DRISH and Tokel (sic) BISKEY DRISH, was born August 25, 1906 and was educated in the Brighton School. DRISH had been employed by the M. and St. L. railroad at Peoria, Ill. since 1935. It is believed death came after he was struck by a passing train in Farmington, where he had been visiting friends last Sunday.

He is survived by his father and a number of brothers and sisters including; Leo, at Camp McCoy, Wis., Donald in the U.S. Army, Mrs. Joe VANCE of Ottumwa, Mrs. Cloyce BARNETT of Bonaparte, Mrs. Melroe RYDEN of Minneapolis, Minn., Frances of Davenport, and Clarence at home. He was preceded in death by his mother who died March 10, 1924 and by a brother George, who died in infancy.

The body was returned to Brighton by the F. H. Hoskins funeral home and taken to the Joseph DRISH home today.
