John CHUCK, 39, Fatally Injured

PLEASANT PLAIN, Ia. -- Funeral services will be held at East Pleasant Plain for John J. CHUCK, 39, former Jefferson county resident who was killed Wednesday in a highway accident north of Oskaloosa.

CHUCK, who made his home in Burlington, was district manager for McKesson and Robbins Drug Co. He had stopped his car on Highway 163 because of blowing snow and was standing behind it when he was truck by another car driven by Willis DeGoey, New Sharon.

Three other passengers with CHUCK were treated at an Oskaloosa hospital and released.

CHUCK was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank CHUCK, Brighton. His wife is the former Esther SUPALLA, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. SUPALLA, Pleasant Plain.

Funeral arrangements are pending at St. Joseph Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. CHUCK is also survived by three children and the following brothers and sisters: Ed CHUCK, Mason City; Norbert CHUCK, Brighton; Frank CHUCK Jr., with an oil firm in Venezuela; Mrs. Kathryn DICKINSON, Brighton; and Mrs. Teresa MOTETT (sic - MOTTET), Richland.
