Rites Tuesday for Raymond BURK, 74

BRIGHTON -- Raymond BURK, 74, died Sunday morning, Jan. 10, 1971, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield. He had been a patient there since Jan. 5 when he suffered a broken hip.

The son of Andrew and Anna KELLER BURK, Mr. BURK was born Feb. 12, 1896, on a farm south of Brighton. He lived there with a brother Lawrence and a sister Angeline, having never married.

Also surviving are a brother, Frank, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha POLUS, both of Mitchell, S.D. He was preceded by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Rosary will be Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Gould Funeral Home at Brighton. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Francis Bass in charge. Burial will be in the cemetery there.
