JOHN BIRCHFIELD
Fairfield

John BIRCHFIELD, age 68 of Fairfield, passed away June 12, 2018, at Jefferson County Health Center.

Graveside service will be 12:30 pm, Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery of Adel with Chaplin (sic) Dick Terp officiating (note: in Dallas Co., IA).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors of America. Cards and memorials may be sent to 417 North F Street, Apt B, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

John was born in Minoa, New York to James GRIESABER and Janet CRAWFORD. He married Diane WILLIAMS on April 28, 1992.

John served and retired from the Army after 25 years as a military policeman. He moved back to Fairfield in 2009. Some of John's interests were watching western movies, following the Greenbay (sic) Packers football, collecting military hats, reading his bible (sic) and he loved his cat "Kitty". John will greatly be missed by family & friends.

He is survived by his wife, Diane of Fairfield; his children, Michael (Kelly) BIRCHFIELD of Charleston, SC, John (Joni) BIRCHFIELD of Marshalltown, IA, Donna (Jon) DRUMMOND of Biloxi, MS, Shelly, Russel, Jennifer and Franklin; 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
