Libertyville

Phyllis Lee OWENS, 78, of 2089 Libertyville Rd. in Fairfield, died at 4:27 a.m. June 1, 2018 at her home.

She was born January 4, 1940 in Kirksville, MO to Victor Vaughn and Virginia Ruth LAWSON ROBINSON. She married Jerry D. OWENS August 16, 1959 and he preceded her in death November 3, 2014.

Phyllis worked as a nurse's aide at Jefferson County Hospital.

Surviving are 7 children, Jerry Lee (Rhonda) OWENS of Marion, Jamie SPARKS of Fairfield, Jenny HOOVER of Centerville, Jana (Mike) OWENS of Seymour, John (Beth) OWENS and Joni HURLEY both of Exline, Jolene (George Bennett) ROBINSON of Eldon; special children, Gail Cordell, Don Miller, Charlotte Head; 22 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way; and 1 great-great grandchild on the way; and a wonderful friend, Peggy McKim of Fairfield and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter, Alessa MULVANEY; 2 sons-in-law, Jim HURLEY and Kelley ROBINSON.

Her body has been cremated. Per her wishes, no services are planned at this time.

Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.

Reece Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
