LOIS REVA METZ
Cuba, IL

Lois Reva METZ, age 93, formerly of Fairfield, IA, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018, at Clayberg Fulton County Nursing Center, Cuba, IL.

Visitation for family & friends will be 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Behner Funeral Home with words of comfort by Allen Melcher. Burial will be in Glasgow Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Clayberg Fulton County Nursing Center Activity Fund. Cards and memorials can be mailed to 309 N. Adams Street, Lewistown, IL 61542.

Lois was born August 8, 1924, to John and Dora (WEBB) DAILEY in Jefferson County at her home. She married Donald METZ June 1, 1946, at the Christian Parsonage in Fairfield. They celebrated 46 years of marriage before he passed away March 14, 1993.

Lois was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and bank employee. She taught for 5 years at a rural school and worked 20 years at Iowa State Bank. Lois was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, IA. She liked to travel and one of the trips she took was riding with Don on the back of a Goldwing motorcycle touring the United States. She liked to go shopping, spend time drawing, working in her rose garden and collecting bells. Most important to Lois was spending time with her grandkids and family. Lois was born and raised in Fairfield, IA until she moved to Illinois in 2000 to be closer to her son Mark and his family.

Left to share Lois's memories are her son, Mark METZ (Joleen Keime) of Lewistown, IL; 4 grandchildren, Michael METZ, Michelle (Jeremiah) WILKINSON, Rebecca (Troy) KIRGAN and Ryan (Nikki) METZ; 7 great grandchildren, Brandon (Amy Harrington) COURTNEY, Brittany MOTT, Brianna MOTT, Blakely METZ, Brock METZ, McKinlee METZ, Trenton KIRGAN; one great great granddaughter, Kenna COURTNEY; and one sister, Carolyn ROBERTS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dora DAILEY; her husband, Don METZ; one son, Rodger METZ; daughter-in-law, Rhonda METZ; 5 siblings, Beatrice MICKELS, Mary DAILEY, John DAILEY, Marie FREDRICKS and Virgil DAILEY.
