James Anthony ARNDT, 90, of St. George, Utah, passed away peacefully with loving family by his side on April 23, 2018. Jim formerly lived in Texarkana, TX and Fairfield, IA before relocating to Utah to live with his daughter two years ago.

Born February 8, 1928 in Brighton, Iowa, Jim was one of six children born to Anthony Joseph and Mary Genevieve (MILLANE) ARNDT. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1945, went two years to St. Ambrose College in Davenport, IA, and graduated with a B.S. in Engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, IA in 1950. Drafted into the US Army in 1950, Jim achieved the rank of Recon Sgt. of the 115th Engineering Combat Group. After the Army he was employed as an industrial engineer in Fairfield IA. and Texarkana TX. Jim was married to Agnes Teresa McINERNEY of Ottumwa, IA in 1953, and they settled in the Fairfield IA area, raising 6 children.

Surviving him are children Eric (Leann) of FL, Susan (Mike) PARK of OH, Christe BREYFOGLE of WA, Karl of IA, and Jennifer of UT; grandchildren Nicole (John) FREDERICKS of WA, Natalie (Dirk) VANDERHULST of Brussels, Belgium, Michelle PARK of OH, and Michael PARK of PA; great-grandchildren Evan and Grayson FREDERICKS, and Mackenzie and Katelyn VANDERHULST. Also surviving are his sisters, Mary Anne (Dick) LOFTUS of TX, Theresa (Merlin) HELLMAN of IA; brother Frank of Fairfield, IA, and sister-in-law Katie ARNDT of TX. Preceding him were his beloved wife Teresa in 2002, son Ronald in 1974, parents, his twin brother Henry who died at birth, and his brother John. Wife Teresa and son Ronald are buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, IA, in Lot 5th.111.
