LIFE OF MRS. MARY CHADDUCK

Mary I. SEARS, daughter of Jacob and Mary SEARS, was born in Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa June 1, 1847, and departed this life at her home near Crescent, Oklahoma, October 15, 1918, at the age of 71 years 7 months and 14 days. On May 19, 1867 she was united in marriage to Charles R. CHADDUCK. To this union five children were born, the husband and two daughters, Cora B. and Mary E.., having preceded her in death. Those left to mourn their loss are Mrs. J. W. WILSON of Fairfield, Iowa, Mrs. J. E. LEATHERS of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma, and Virgil T. CHADDUCK of Crescent, Oklahoma, with whom she made her home. She is also survived by 12 grand children and 11 great grand children besides a host of relatives and friends.

Mrs. CHADDUCK was sick for nearly seven months and suffered greatly but bore it all with great patience. She was a good wife, a devoted and loving mother.

The funeral services were conducted from the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. WILSON, by R. H. Polly, pastor of the Fairfield Christian church, Thursday afternoon at four o;clock, and internment (sic) was made in the Gantz cemetery near Brookville.
