Pearl PEARSON services

Funeral services for Pearl A. PEARSON, 96, 103 E. Madison, who died Saturday morning, were held today, 2 p.m., at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville.

The Rev. John Wilken and the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiated. Burial was in Fell Cemetery near Libertyville. A memorial has been established for the church. Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. PEARSON was born Oct. 14, 1883 in Jefferson County southwest of Libertyville, the daughter of Edwin and Alice RAINES McCLAIN. On Oct. 14, 1904 she married Charles PEARSON. They farmed in the Mount Zion community near Libertyville. He died in 1954 and she moved to Fairfield in 1976.

Surviving are two sons, Glenn of Libertyville, Rodney of Fairfield; six daughters, Grace FRAIZER, Corydon, Nellie DAVISSON, Beulah PEARSON, Katharyn PARKS, all of Fairfield, Gladys BACHMAN MILTON, Florence HORN, Pulaski; 17 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was the oldest member of Faith United Methodist Church and was active most of her life in the Mount Zion Methodist Church.
