Roy EUBANKS of Fairfield will celebrate his 80th birthday Aug. 4.
A card shower is planned. Cards can be sent to Mr. EUBANKS at 2275 Glasgow Road, Fairfield 52556. No gifts are requested, but cards and memories and shared stories are welcome.
A private family celebration will be held at a later date. Mr. EUBANKS and his wife Ruth will be attending Charlotte Days on his birthday, where they both attended high school and later married in Clinton in 1958.
Mr. EUBANKS was born Aug. 4, 1938, near Wapello. He has been a Fairfield resident for more than 55 years. He retired from the Iowa State Patrol, where he patrolled nearly 33 years in the surrounding southeast Iowa vicinity. He continues to work seasonal jobs and volunteers for The Lord's Cupboard.
The EUBANKSes have one daughter, Rhonda APLET and husband Greg of Arvada, Colorado, and one son, Rory EUBANKS and wife Melissa of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. They also have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
