In Response To: Re: James Farley in 1878 History of Jasper County (JCGS Volunteer)

Thanks. I was hoping there might be something of substance. James Farley and his wife Catherine Stanton were the last of my ancestors to arrive in the US - James from Ireland and Catherine from Canada whose parents were both born in Ireland and emigrated to Canada. I know James arrived in 1858 and Catherine in 1866, married in 1870 in Des Moines and had 5 children in Jasper County. I have found some info on Catherine's family but almost none on James's family and like I said, was hoping for more as I not even know where in Ireland James was born or parents names. But IU do appreciate your response.
