William Crate Aulmann was born Oct. 6, 1860 in Marion County, and died June 24, 1950 (sic) in Knoxville, at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 8 days.
He was the son of Peter and Cynthia Aulmann, pioneers of Marion County. He spent his entire life in this locality. He is survived by one brother, Emerson of Des Moines.
Services were conducted June 18 at the Bybee and Davis Funeral home. Rev. Von Elbert was in charge. Interment was in the Vandalia cemetery near Prairie City.
