Albert L. Krampe, Longtime Baxter Resident, Dies
Baxter – Albert Leroy Krampe, 80, a resident of a farm east of Baxter until moving to Baxter in 1977, died Sunday at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethany United Church of Christ east of Baxter.
Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions to the Bethany Church will be accepted.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Coleen) Hill of Baxter and Mrs. Clifford (Darlene) Schwarz of Baxter; four grandchildren; a sister, Esther Herzog of Alhambra, Calif.; and a brother, David Krampe of Baxter.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dec. 15, 1976 and his parents.
Mr. Krampe was a member of the Bethany United Church of Christ and the Bethany Men’s Fellowship.
The son of August and Louisa Kanne Krampe, he was born May 27, 1899 in Jasper County.
He was married to Mary Sinkler Sept. 11, 1929 at the Bethany Church.
