Mr. William Harris died on the 19th inst., at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cliff Meader, of this place, at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 19 days. His fatal illness was paralysis, with which he had been prostrated for more than a year. He leaves a family of five children, all grown to manhood and womanhood. Mr. Harris has been a resident of Iowa for upwards of 51 years, and most of that time had resided in Jasper county. His funeral was from his late residence at 2 p.m., last Sunday, conducted by the Methodist minister from Mitchellville, and the remains were laid to rest in the McKeever cemetery.
