Amanda Dawn (Stoner) Sliger
August 24, 1989 ~ March 15, 2024 (age 34)

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Newton. Memorials in Amanda’s name can be left at the funeral home. Please make checks payable to Tom Stoner or Randi Mather.

Amanda, the daughter of Tom Stoner and Randi Good, was born August 24, 1989, in Newton. She was a lifelong resident of Newton. She had worked at Jeld-Wen, Murphy, Casey’s, and most recently had been working at the Grinnell rest area. Amanda had a love of life and enjoyed singing. She could often be heard singing or humming around the house. She also enjoyed drawing, helping others, and animals—especially llamas. She cared deeply for her children and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those left to honor Amanda’s memory include her children: Abigail Bozarth, Brian Hammer, Jr., Beau Hammer (Isabelle Gomez), Aiden Hammer, and Makena Hammer, all of Newton; her parents, Tom (Tabatha) Stoner of Altoona and Randi (Justin) Mather of Newton; two brothers, Ryan Stoner (Chelsea Alter) and Joey Stoner (Arissa Busick), both of Newton; several step-siblings; her grandmothers, Carolyn Good and Becky (Murray) Barge; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Richard Good and DeWayne Stoner; her uncle, Dustin Stoner; and aunt, Tanya Anderson.
