Ozmun, Laura J. Kester Densmore – 1860-1945

Baxter – Laura Osmun, the second of four daughters of Aaron and Rebecca Kester, was born at Laurenceburg, Warren County, Iowa, Feb. 11, 1860, and died at the home of her niece, Lois, at Alta Vista, Ia., May 6, 1945. Her youngest sister, Sybil Kellogg of Lincoln Acres, Calif., survives.
She married Dr. David T. Densmore Aug. 27, 1883, and they made their home at Jamaica, Ia., until his death in 1888. Later, joined by her parents, she made her home in Collins and owned and operated a milliner store until 1907 when she went to San Diego, Calif., where she lived for 36 years.
There in 1914 she was united in marriage with John W. Osmun who died in 1920. She came to make her home with Herbert and Lois Pease at Alta Vista in October 1943.
She was spent many years teaching in Iowa schools and in business in Collins and San Diego.
