James C. Morgan, 55, passed away July 7, 2008 at the Morgan family farm in Maxwell. He was born January 9, 1953 in Des Moines to Harry and Kathryn Morgan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00pm Friday, July 11, 2008 at SS John & Paul Catholic Church in Altoona, IA. Burial will follow at McKeever Cemetery near Colfax.
Jim was most happy entertaining and cooking for his family and friends. He loved mushroom hunting in the spring and gardening in the summer. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
James leaves behind his children; Rebecca, Jamie, Sara, Alexandra and one grandson Jonah James Smith.
He also leaves his father, Harry Morgan, one brother, John and two sisters, Jean Jennings and Marianne Free. He was preceded in death by his mother Kathryn.
Hamilton’s Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
