John Michael Borst
December 21, 1959 - November 28, 2018

John Michael " Mike" Borst, longtime resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Wednesday morning November 28, 2018 surrounded by his family. Mike grew up in Iowa where he went to Iowa State then graduated from the University of Arkansas. Mike loved his Razorbacks and was also a World War II history enthusiast with a passion for tanks.

Mike is preceded in death by his brother Kevin Borst and grandfather Vernon Lansrud.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving fiance, Maureen Goncalves; his parents Max and MaryAnn Borst; his son Will Borst; two daughters Lauren and Meredith Borst; three nephews Brad, Matt and Andrew; his future step daughters Melissa and Julia Goncalves.

He valued the many friends, he leaves behind especially Doug Fuller. In his time with us Mike enriched the lives of many people. Remember him as one who loved what he did and those he came in contact with wherever he was. He was a participant in life! In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Chattanooga Cleveland location. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, December, 8 2018 at Broad Street United Methodist Church with the visitation from 1 to 3 pm and the service to follow.
