Ora “Buck” L. Wolfe, 78, of Newton died on Monday, September 24, 2018, at Park Centre. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, September 28, at McKeever Cemetery in rural Colfax. The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m., Friday, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Ora, the son of Jesse and Dorthy (Burns) Wolfe, was born on January 1, 1940 in Unionville, Missouri. He grew up in Unionville. Ora was united in marriage with Karen Shermerhorn on August 27, 1960 in Unionville. They made their home in Iowa living in Prairie City and Colfax before making their home in Newton in 1985. Ora worked construction and then later at the Maytag Company for over 24 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the UAW Local 997. Ora enjoyed his old tractors, gardening and tinkering in the garage.

Those left to honor his memory are his son, David (Tina) Wolfe of Newton; grandson, Michael Wolfe of Newton and Jenny (Kevin) Porter of West Des Moines; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Emily, and Grayson; his sisters, Betty (Gerald) Repp of Newton and Dixie (Larry) McKinney of Newton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Karen Wolfe. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 24 Sept 2018.
