Mrs. M. Thomas Services Today; Dies on Friday
North Olmstead, Ohio – Funeral services for Mrs. William C. (Marguerite) Thomas, 87, a resident of Colfax until moving to North Olmstead, Ohio, to live with her daughter, Mrs. Ivan (Beverly) Susic, 18 months ago, were held today at the First United Methodist Church in Colfax.
The Rev. Jim Pemble, pastor of the church, conducted services. Order of Eastern Star services were conducted at the Colfax Cemetery.
She died Friday morning at the Fairview General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Memorial contributions to a fund in Mrs. Thomas’s name will be accepted. Memorials may be left at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
Also surviving are four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Robert, and a daughter, Jean Betty.
Mrs. Thomas was a 50-year member of the First United Methodist church, a member of the Ladies Aid Society, Rebekah Lodge and a 50-(year)member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She had worked for many years at the former Colfax Mercantile Store.
The daughter of Henry and Hattie Poulson Sharp, she was born March 7, 1895 in Colfax and was educated in Colfax schools.
She was married Nov. 25, 1916.
