John Tobias of Colfax Dies at Age of 86 Years
Colfax, April 13 – Special to the Daily News – John Tobias, 86, native of Wales, died Tuesday night at Colfax, from a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been in failing health for about a year.
Funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Baptist church in Colfax, with Rev. W. P. Hammar in charge. The Redman lodge will be in charge of the services.
Mr. Tobias is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sarah Beckham of Colfax, with whom he made his home, Mrs. O. P. Burris of Eugene, Ore., and Mrs. William Whitfield of Des Moines, and a son, Alfred, of Colfax.
