Woman’s Fatal Fall
A severe fall brought death to Mrs. J. C. O’Roake at her home, three miles southwest of the city last evening about 9:30 o’clock. Just when the fatal fall occurred is not known. Mr. O’Roake was about the barn lots finishing the chores when the accident transpired and when he returned to the house a little after 8 o’clock he found his wife lying unconscious at the foot of the stairway that opens into the living room. A physician was called immediately and Mrs. O’Roake was cared for by neighbors until professional care could arrive. However she never regained consciousness and death came about half past nine o’clock. – Wednesday’s Newton News.
