Hasselbrink Family Reunion Held in Holmdahl Park
Members of the Hasselbrink family assembled at the Holmdahl Park in Kellogg recently for a Sunday noon picnic and reunion. Homemade ice cream and birthday cake were served in honor of the 80th birthday of Mrs. Elsie Reed of Kellogg and the 16th birthday of David Mason of Newton during the afternoon.
Pictures were taken and visiting provided the entertainment.
Others present from Newton were Mrs. Joan Mason, Mr. and Mrs. Verle Kooistra, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kooistra, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Parsons, Mrs. Ronald Pickles and Chris and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Laskewitz.
Also attending from Kellogg were Mr. and Mrs. Gus Ebert, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pickles, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hasselbrink and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gill and Steve.
Grinnell residents attending were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hasselbrink, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Hasselbrink, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hasselbrink and Mrs. Elsie Hasselbrink.
Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Reed and Susan of Cumberland; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lund of Moline, Ill., Dallas Reed of Chester, former Kellogg residents Mr. and Mrs. Gale Ebert, Randy and Rusty of Knoxville; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hasselbrink and Angela of Cedar Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Mason of Tama; and Mr. and Mrs. Jim McConeghey and Erin and Margaret and Carolyn Hasselbrink, all of Des Moines.

Hasselbrinks Have Reunion
The Hasselbrink family reunion was held Saturday, July 21 at Maytag Park. Those attending from Newton included: Albert Hasselbrink, Joan and David Mason, Candy Byers, Mr. and Mrs. Russ Parsons, Lela Laskewitz, Mr. and Mrs. Verle Kooistra and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kooistra.
Those attending from Kellogg were: Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hasselbrink, Elsie Reed, Lois and Darin Pickles and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gill.
Others attended from Cedar Rapids, Oskaloosa, Martinsburg, Grinnell, Pella, Des Moines and Eldora, as well as from Arizona, Colorado and Illinois.
