Richard Francis Durkee
20 November 1944 --- 15 June 1996Richard F. Durkee, 52, of Andrew [Jackson County], Iowa died Wednesday at Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Friday. Mr. Durkee was baptized in the Catholic faith. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Lucille and Howard Hendrickson, Clinton; and brothers, Don, of California, Bill, Denton, Texas, and Robert, River Forest, Ill.

Lucille Clara Durkee-Hendrickson, 94, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at the Alverno on Monday, July 25, 2016. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive Clinton, Iowa). A visitation will occur two hours prior to the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lucille was born September 3, 1921 in Delmar, Iowa, the daughter of William and Margaret (Flynn) McCoy. Lucille was united in marriage to Earl Durkee in October 1938 - Earl passed away in 1980. She then married Howard Hendrickson on May 14, 1991 - Howard passed away in 2011.
Lucille was a homemaker and a member of Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed socializing with her friends at Bickford Cottage and at the Alverno. Above all, she loved her family very much and will be sadly missed.
Lucille is survived by her four children - Donald (Mary) Durkee of Thousand Oaks, CA, William Durkee of Dallas, TX, Robert (Ernestina 'Ernie') Durkee of River Forest, IL and David (Linda) Hendrickson of Camanche, IA, with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family is deeply grateful to the entire staff at the Alverno for their professional and compassionate care shown to Lucille.
Preceding Lucille in death were her parents, her husband's Earl Durkee and Howard Hendrickson, one son - Richard Durkee, one grandson, two sisters and seven brothers. Memorials made can be directed to the wishes of the family.
