OBITUARY

Joyce E. Eye, 83, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Friday evening, July 9, 2021, Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, Iowa.

At Peace Cremation Services have been provided by Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. There will be no public visitation or services held at this time.

Joyce Elaine Paulsen was born on September 27, 1937 in Camanche, Iowa, to Alfred John and Leona Grace (Haack) Paulsen. She grew up in Clinton. She married Laverne Eye Jr. in 1955. He preceded her in death in 1983.

Joyce had worked for Swift Co. in Clinton and then at Hoffman Eggs in Maquoketa for over 20 years and later for Baker Eggs. She enjoyed crocheting and playing Bingo.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, James Eye of Maquoketa, IA, and Stephen Eye of Maquoketa, IA; 2 grandchildren, Stacie and Wendy; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son David, sisters Arlene Adler and Mary Jane Wentworth, and brothers Don, Tom, John and one in infancy.
