Ivis was born January 17, 1930, in Springbrook, the daughter of Aloysius and Magdalena (Weis) Hoffman. She married Orville Kilburg on April 26, 1950; he passed on March 12, 1989. Ivis was a great baker, made the best noodles, and never gave out a recipe, “just a dash of this and that.” She enjoyed visiting on the phone, playing cards with the grandchildren, and going to auctions and garage sales. Ivis liked collecting dolls and was the “egg lady” to many people in the area. Her favorite saying was “you kids.” She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
