Donald N. "Nick" Brooks, 32, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 17, 2018, at his home in Maquoketa, Iowa.

A private gathering celebrating Nick's life will be held at a later date. A natural journey farewell with cremation has taken place. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.

Donald Nichloas Brooks was born on October 11, 1985 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Donald Keith and Mary Louise (Wallroff) Brooks.

Nick had worked at McDonald's in Maquoketa for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, playing pool, skateboarding, Dungeons and Dragons, watching Superhero movies, grilling and cooking and spending time with his family. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother and father Mary and Don Brooks of Maquoketa, IA; a sister Chanel Brooks of Maquoketa, IA; and a nephew, Kairyn Brooks of Maquoketa, IA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ruth and Roger Wathier, and Rosemary Feltes, three aunts Hazel Crouch, Connie Glaser and Peggy Dannatt, and a brother Damien F. "DBO" Wallroff.
