Mike was born on April 19, 1967, in Bellevue, Iowa, son of Marty and Judy (Tegeler) Sheehy.

Mike possessed a childlike innocence. He was friendly, loved everyone and always had a great sense of humor. Mike loved to go to work and was very proud of the jobs he did. In the past, he worked at DAC in Maquoketa and most recently worked for ARC in Dubuque.

Mike liked to stay busy. He loved listening to music on Y-105, singing karaoke, doing latch hook, shooting baskets, skateboarding when he was younger, playing “horse”, bowling and working his many seek and find word puzzles. He was also a huge Cub’s Fan which is why some of his favorite memories included when his sister Cindy and brother-in-law Boomer took him to the Cubs games at Wrigley Field and Miller Park.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents, Marty and Judy Sheehy, of Bellevue, two sisters, Cindy (Dan “Boomer”) Temperley, of East Dubuque and Melissa (Jeff) Jackson, of Galway, New York; grandmother, Beverly Tegeler, of Bellevue; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a special friend, Gidget.

Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents Gib and Sedelle Tegeler and Anna Rell.

The family would like to give a special thank you to his doctors, the staff at ARC, the Hacienda House and Hospice of Dubuque for the great care and compassion shown to Mike.

In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established in Mike’s name.
