Tom Holman was an eclectic human with a warm heart. He lived an esoteric lifestyle and continually said he was the “happiest man in the world”.

He was raised on the island city of Sabula, Iowa, along with his 2 older brothers, Mark & Steve Holman. After high-school (1976) he ventured off the Island to continue his education and start a family out west. He returned to Sabula in 1992 with the dream to open a restaurant. After years of hard work & preparation, he opened the doors to Bombfire Pizza, in 2007. Bombfire was Tom’s legacy, built on the foundation of open doors and open hearts.

Tom developed relationships with everyone he encountered. He was a true artist and his medium was community. All he wanted in exchange for his contribution to this world was for everyone to love each other.

He was a loving father to Jayme & Tom and grandfather to Tommy & Evin. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Ray Holman (d. 1970) and Ruby Schubert/Wall (d. 2017).

While he will be missed, his friends and family will continue to support his legacy by keeping the doors and our hearts open to all.
