Rita Mae Knock, 85, of Dubuque, Iowa and long time resident of Maquoketa, Iowa died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Dubuque Nursing and Rehab Center in Dubuque.

In honoring her wishes, graveside services will take place at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Bellevue, Iowa at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Deacon Laverne Flagel will be officiating. The Siegert- Casper Colonial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 390 N. Grandview Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.

Surviving are her sons, Ronald (Barbara) Hute of Mesa, AZ., and Gerard (Karen) Hute of Corpus Christi, TX., 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daugther, Laurel Ann Soenksen, her husband, Fred Knock, her parents, Luois and Martha (Cook) Flagel, 3 brothers,Gordon, Melvin and Kenneth, and 3 sisters Thelma, Viola, and Eulane, "Sis".

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Firth Lutheran Church in Maquoketa in Rita's name, where she was a long time member.
