Alice was born on October 9, 1930 the youngest daughter of Joseph M. and Angeline (Clara Wieser) Trumm. Alice was educated in Dubuque at Holy Ghost elementary school, St Joseph Academy for girls, and at Loras College. She learned to "tint" photos and soon became an excellent artist, using chalk or oils. Some of her art work is displayed in the homes of family members to this day. Alice loved to travel and experience life. She lived and worked in San Diego, CA, Chicago, IL, and in Dubuque, IA, working as a receptionist, administrative secretary, and switchboard operator; for many years at Interstate Power Company.

In 1982 she married Robert (Bob) Sieverding, moved to LaMotte, and began her "life on the farm". She and Bob shared a strong faith, enjoyed 29-years together, made many friends, did some traveling and spent time with family. He preceded her in death in February 16, 2012.

While living in the Dubuque area she was a member of Holy Ghost Church in Dubuque, Holy Rosary Church in LaMotte, and St Joseph Church in Key West. She was an active member of The Rosary Society.

Throughout the years, she treated her nieces and nephews to movies, ice skating, homemade ice cream, “Sandy’s Drive-in”, train trips to Chicago for shopping, picnics at the farm, and gifts of art. She loved pets, especially kittens, and her favorite cat, Muffie.

She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. Surviving are her nieces Kris (Jerry) Kieffer, Gayla (John) Roarig and Stacey MacNider her brother-in-law Tony (Gert) Sieverding and their family Loras (Mary) Sieverding, Ann (Stan) Scheiding, Mary (Steve) Foust, Sandra (Tom) Brus, Laura (Bill) Grams, Carol (Dave) Dunne, Luke (Linda) Sieverding and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert; siblings, Raymond Trumm and Edith (Robert) Ball; half siblings Maurice, Carl and Bertille Trumm, nephews Thomas Ball, Steven Ball and Gary Ball, in-laws Anton and Josephine Sieverding, Betty Sieverding, and a nephew-in-law Mark Sieverding.

In lieu of flowers an Alice Sieverding memorial fund will be established.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Stonehill Care Center for their kindness and medical care. A special thank you to Loras Sieverding, Kris Kieffer and her late sister Edith Ball for all their care of Alice in the last years of her life.
