Louis E. Potter

Louis E. Potter, 67, of RR1, Baldwin, died Saturday, April 21, at Jackson County Public Hospital. Services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Carson Funeral Home, Maquoketa. The Rev. Kim Engleking of the Baldwin-Monmouth Methodist Church officiated and burial was in Hickory Grove cemetery.

He was born Feb. 28, 1917 in Canton to Nathan and Annie Frye Potter. On May 8, 1973 he married Bernita Matt in Corolen, Idaho. He was a veteran of World War Two.

Survivors include his wife; three daughtersl four sons; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Rose Marie Boesell of Salem, Ore.; a stepson, William Purcell of Plummer, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Schurbon of Maquoketa and Mrs. Maude Knight of Welton; two brothers George of Maquoketa and Raymond of the state of Oregon.

His parents, one son, five sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.
