Keith Douglas Drake, 60, of Normal, Illinois, passed away at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Sugar Creek Alzheimer’s Care Center in Normal.

His celebration of life was held from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at Kibler – Brady - Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

He was born Nov. 13, 1956, in Maquoketa, Iowa, a son to Melvin and Altabelle Nipp Drake. He married Janelle Dunne on Sept. 16, 1978, in Andrew, Iowa.

Surviving is his wife, Janelle Drake of Normal; daughter, Kelly Drake of Seattle, Wash.; son, Ryan (Caitlin) Drake of Champaign; granddaughter, Mia Drake of Champaign; sister, Barbara (Ed) Behr; brother, Mark (Linda) Drake; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

He was employed at Caterpillar for 31 years, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Bloomington-Normal Bass Club.

Keith was loved by his family and enjoyed by his friends, he will be greatly missed.
