Death of John O’Connor

John O'Connor, a former well known citizen, of Garry Owen, died at Omaha Friday and the remains were brought to Dubuque, arriving there Sunday morning.

Mr. O'Connor was widely known in this locality and while living in Garry Owen became a member of Cascade Knights of Columbus. After living in Dubuque for a time he removed to Omaha. Mr. O'Connor was an intelligent and well-informed man.

Some years ago he was struck by an automobile at Excelsior Springs, Mo., from which he never fully recovered. He is survived by his wife who was a Miss Feeney of that well known family of Bernard.

After the, requiem mass at the Cathedral in Dubuque, the remains were conveyed to Garry Owen where burial took place in St. Patrick's cemetery, Rev. Mulcahy officiating at the graveside.

The pallbearers were Michael Hogan, Con and Andrew Noonan, Richard Burke, Charles Crowley and Richard McCarthy.
