Maquoketa; born in Rockingham Co., Va., June 1, 1845; he came to Jackson Co. in March, 1851, and located in Maquoketa Township; he has lived at his present residence ten years. Married Mary C. Farr Sep 30, 1869; She was born in Canada Sept. 13, 1848; have six children--Emma, born Sep 20, 1870, Carrie E, May 20, 1871; Lannie J., Feb. 6, 1874; Mansel W., Jan. 2, 1875; Claude B., Aug. 29, 1877, and an infant. Owns 120 acres valued at $60 per acre. Democrat.
