Charles Clifford Cronbaugh, age 76, of Marengo, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2018, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with Barb Furman officiating. Burial will be in the Koszta Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. A memorial fund has been established.

Charles is survived by his wife Susan; a son Curtis (Kim) Cronbaugh; four grandchildren Chad (Ashlea) Cronbaugh, Annie (Adam) Rabe, Alyssa and Alexis Rohrer; six great grandchildren Rynlee, Raelyn and Cayson Cronbaugh, Aiden, Alivia and Asher Rabe; five siblings Barb Gensley, Mary (Jake) Gerard, Doris Hawkins, Robert (Connie) Cronbaugh and Gary (Taryn) Cronbaugh; and his best friend Bob Brecht.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Caleb, a brother Celaine, sisters Janet Korns, Donna Fay and Margery Sue in infancy.

Charles was born February 5, 1942, the son of Cecil Cronbaugh and Maxine Stowell. He received his education in the Iowa County Honey Creek #3 School and Marengo High School.

Charles married Susan Kensler on August 8, 1964 in Brooklyn. He was a life long farmer and also worked for over 20 plus years with his brother Celaine Cronbaugh at Cronbaugh Excavating.

Charles enjoyed traveling and birdwatching. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He especially loved watching his grandchildren play sports.
