Funeral services for Leona (Onie) Larsen, 65, Marengo, were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11 at First Church United, West Liberty. She died Friday, Sept. 8, 1995, at Marengo Memorial Hospital, Marengo.

The Rev. Ralph Farmer officiated at the service.

Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Pall bearers were Bill Wachs, Brian Wachs, Craig Wachs, Dennis Wachs, Scott Peters, Bob Parker, Tom Parker and Wayne Lee Wachs.

Barker Funeral Home, West Liberty, was in charge of arrangements.

Leona Larsen was born April 14, 1930, at West Liberty, the daughter of Fred and Maude Estes Wachs.

She married Lester Larsen Jan. 24, 1946, at Muscatine. The couple lived in West Liberty and moved to Marengo in 1969.

Larsen is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Logan, Mitchelville; Debbie Eckert, Wilton, and Lori Brecht, Middle Amana; one son, Jeff Larsen, Hendersonville, Tenn.; two brothers, Lloyd Wachs, Atalissa, and Russell Bickford, West Liberty, and two sisters, Shirley Alberhasky, Aurora, Colo., and Freda White, Moline, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, three sisters and four brothers.
