Funeral service for Lloyd Pfeaster, 76, Marengo, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. He died Monday, June 11, 2018, at his home.

The Rev. Lisa Crow will officiate at the service. Family will receive friends after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Indianapolis Cemetery, rural What Cheer.

A memorial fund has been established.

Lloyd Leroy Pfeaster was born Oct. 20, 1941, in Oskaloosa, the son of Amos Joseph and Doris Elnora Campbell Pfeaster. He attended schools in the Oskaloosa, What Cheer and Sigourney areas. Lloyd worked several jobs during his lifetime. He worked on a fur farm, a chicken farm in Idaho, and was a trucker for a sale barn. Most recently he worked on the Reichert horse ranch near Marengo. In his leisure hours he enjoyed fishing. Ever the cowboy, Lloyd enjoyed trail rides and rodeo.

Lloyd is survived by his son, Amos of Ogden, Utah; a step-daughter, Lisa Dean, Washington state; two grandchildren; a sister, Fay (Morris) Bohrn, West Amana; a half-brother, Francis Grover, Marengo; a sister-in-law, Carylin Pfeaster, Oregon, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Laverne and Dewayne.
