M. Elizabeth (Betty) Russell, 85, Marengo, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at her home with her husband by her side following a sudden illness. No funeral services are planned.

She was born Feb. 5, 1932, at Grubbs, Ark., the daughter of Claude Henley and Minnie Henley Williamson.

She married William S. (Spencer) Russell Oct. 11, 1948, in Jonesboro, Ark.

Russell is survived by her husband, seven children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Annie, and two sons-in-law, Larry and Terry.
