Cecil Holeton, 84, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.

Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the North English Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Cecil’s name.

Cecil Raymond Holeton was born on April 1, 1933 in North English, Iowa to John and Martha D. (Smith) Holeton. Cecil served his country in the United States Army. He retired from HJ Heinz after 28 years of service.

He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the American Legion.

Cecil enjoyed hunting, fishing and auction sales. He liked traveling to Pennsylvania to visit his sister and her family. He was a great conversationalist and enjoyed talking with people whether he knew them or not. His greatest enjoyment was time spent with family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Cecil will be deeply missed by his brother, Marvin (Kathy) Holeton of Oxford, IA; special friends, Glen Kurz, Niki Malcolm and Anita Titus; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Bryon, Otis, Milford and Wayne Holeton and two sisters, Manie Conoway and Leta Aggson.
