Celebration of life service for Hattie E. Jackson, 10, South English, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints- Iowa City Stake Center, Iowa City.

She died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017.
President Ron Haskell officiated at the service.
Graveside service was held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the South English Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Hattie Jackson Memorial Fund.

Powell Funeral Home, North English, was in charge of arrangements.

Hattie Elizabeth Jackson was born May 21, 2007, in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Jarrod Jay and Debra Elizabeth “Liz” (Shepherd) Jackson. From Utah they moved to Normal, Ill., and later to South English. Hattie was a fifth grade student at English Valleys Elementary, North English. She was full of life, enjoyed nature, baking, singing, dancing and learning to play the clarinet. She was a ray of sunshine, a songbird, and a friend to all.

Hattie is survived by her parents, Jarrod and Liz Jackson; a sister, Kailey; a brother, Brodey; and her grandparents, Donald and Gayle Jackson, Saratoga Springs, Utah, and Lynn and Debbie Shepherd, Lindon, Utah.
