Funeral service for Randa L. Moore, 70, Marengo, was held Sept. 9 at the Marengo Cemetery. She died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at Mercy Hospice House, Hiawatha, after a four-year illness with cancer.

Memorials may be made to Safe Haven of Iowa County, 2783 Hwy. 6 Trail, South Amana.

Randa Lee Moore was born at Watts Hospital, Marengo, the daughter of Everett Neuhaus and Donna (Mattison) Miller. Her stepfather was Fred Miller Sr. She attended Iowa Valley High School and married Lyle Moore June 12, 1965, at the Marengo Presbyterian Church. She worked in daycare for 45-plus years.

She enjoyed taking care of children and her pets, planting flowers and playing cards with her family.

Moore is survived by her husband, Lyle; a sister, Kathy (Bill) Beard; a brother, Fred (Susan) Miller Jr.; her children, Lisa (Jeff) Cornell, Altoona; Tara (Jeff) Howe, Marengo, and Shela (Rod) Delay, Marion; grandchildren, Tabby, Zac, Mike, Tisha, Cody, Jacob and Kaylee, and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Jordan and Charlie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an aunt, Marge Kurth, and a brother, George Neuhaus.
